Úplné faksimile původního vydání. že americká demokracie byla vytvořena americkou hranicí. Zdůraznil proces - pohybující se hranici - a dopad, který to mělo na průkopníky, kteří tímto procesem procházeli. Zdůraznil také důsledky zdánlivě neomezené hranice a zásadním výsledkem byla americká demokracie a rovnostářství. V jeho ezi americká hranice zavedla svobodu tím, že propustila Američany z evropských smýšlení a narušila staré nefunkční zvyky.
