The first book of the new Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn. I haven't read the other 2 trilogies, but I can definitely say that the Character of Thrawn depicted in the Star Wars Rebels Tv series, is amazing. For the first time, we can really "taste" a "bad guy" that is not just bad for bad sake but is really clever. Using knowledge, mind and culture, Thrawn is always one or two steps in front of his enemies and assets. We discover the Ascendancy, the Chiss nation, the Sky-walkers force and a lot of new and captive characters. waiting for the second book, I can only strongly recommend the first one. Well done Timothy.
