Prvně jsem si nebyl jistý, jak tuto knihu brát, když o ní po několika letech sám autor mluví jako o memu, ale během první kapitoly mě natolik zaujala, že jsem jí úplně propadl, mem ne-mem. Thacker v ní opravdu zvláštně chytlavým způsobem nahlíží na extrémně meta filosofické otázky ohledně nemyslitelného optikou hororu, okultna a black metalu. Dostává se tak například k lovecraftově kosmickému hororu, čímž mu dává podle mého úplně nový rozměr.
