Kniha byla zachráněna epickou konfrontací (koneckonců to není bitva) na samém konci. Tady to bylo opravdu zajímavé a Jordan se nad čtenáři opět zľutoval. Zajímavá byla i linie s Matem a jeho útěkem z Ebu Dary. Zbytek je zataženo. S Randovým harémem obecně Jordan zničil něco neobvyklého a on nějak nevypadá moc (není bolestně jasné, jak tři ženy snášejí mezi sebou soupeření navzdory jejich silným přátelstvím). Rand chytil Elaine (na první pokus!) Dítě (muž vydržel dlouho), ze kterého se ostatní ženy s ním spojené téměř zhroutily do mdloby (představte si, co tam dělají, můj malý vulgární).
