Lydia\'s life was calm and joyful: she is the owner of a cozy bookstore, a happy wife and mother. Javier, a mysterious man on the doorstep of her shop brought action to the settled flow of everyday life. Like Lydia, he adores rare books and little-known authors. But soon the woman learns that Javier is a drug lord, and her husband Sebastian wrote a devastating article about him. The journalist pays with his life for this mistake, and Lydia and her son have to flee Mexico to the United States to escape Javier\'s revenge. Escaping from death, mother and son have no idea where their refugee path will lead.
