Hrdina bojuje v labyrintovém světě , kde se zdá že odhaluje nevysvětlitelnou pravdu o povaze existence.
Tuto knihu Kafka nikdy nedopsal. Přesto tento jeden ze tří jeho velkých románů působí i tak uceleně a vyvozuje fascinující závěry díky nimž se příběh tváří kompletně.
