This study examines mobility and migration patterns in early nineteenth-century Guadalajara, Mexico. Using data from censuses, notarial records, wills, and other sources, it reveals a high level of mobility that was short term and often cyclical and argues that mobility affected the vast majority of the city's residents. schovat popis
