Naprosto překrásné vydání, líbí se mi daleko více než to filmové, jež je v současné době úplně všude. Hlavní hrdinkou je Bathseba Everdenová, dosti svérázná a silná žena, která je zvyklá pracovat. Život jí tak trochu komplikuje hned trojice mužů, Boldwood, Troy a Gabriel. Je to hodně poutavě a sugestivně napsané, soucítila jsem s hlavní hrdinkou a prožívala jsem to s ní. Je to vcelku poklidná kniha, zobrazujíc život v malé komunitě, jejich zvyky a tradice, a také to, jak to ženy měly ve světě plném mužů těžké.
