This book is indeed hell. I wanted to read something by a Czech scifi author, plus there was an interesting sounding plot about an alternate history of Czechoslovakia. But I had to rather force myself to finish the book from the first quarter onwards. The whole text is written in the style of a narration of a drugged child - it jumps between scenes, the plot is fragmented, it is not cle... číst celéar which character is speaking, it is impossible to distinguish when we are following the inner processes or impressions of a character and when the action around him is happening, etc. Just the fact that the transitions between scenes happen within regular paragraphs makes it unnecessarily difficult to read. If the author intended the book to be a frantic dream of a delirious patient (which part of the plot would suggest), then it is probably a good attempt indeed, yet unreadable to me. Perhaps Kerouac, with The Road, or P. K. Dick, with his books, achieved similar things with good readability.

Hledám za manžela muže je dobrým výtvorem vynikajícího autora, jaký čtenáři poskytne trochu jiný pohled na svět. Ve škole jsme ji měli sice jako povinnou četbu, ale přežil jsem to. Co se týče spisovnosti knížky (a jazyka v ní obecně), dá se říct, že je trošičku složitější, než co by kdo čekal. Od knihy jako je Hledám byste ale sotva čekali něco jiného. Zápletky a děj vůbec je v knize vz... číst celéhledem k podobným knížkám opravdu dobrý, plynulý a nápaditý. Pochybuji tedy, že bude pro někoho problém ji pochopit. Naše názory se ale mohou přecejen lišit, proto určitě neváhejte dlouho a knihu zkuste přečíst sami.
